阳振坤

Biography:
Zhenkun Yang is the founder and chief scientist of OceanBase. He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mathematics and a doctorate in computer science from Peking University and stayed there. He was promoted to associate professor in 1993 and to professor in 1997. In 1999, he became the first batch of Yangtze River Professors at Peking University. Honors include the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked fourth), the first prize of the Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award, the 6th China Youth Science and Technology Award, the 1st China Association for Science and Technology Qiushi Outstanding Youth Award, etc. Yang Zhenkun’s main research areas in recent years have been distributed systems and distributed databases. In 2010, he initiated the research and development of the OceanBase distributed relational database at Alibaba. Now OceanBase has completely replaced the Oracle database in the core system of Ant Group. It passed the international online transaction processing TPC-C benchmark test twice in 2019 and 2020 and topped the performance list.
阳振坤是OceanBase 创始人兼首席科学家，先后在北京大学获得数学学士和硕士以及计算机博士学位并留校，1993 年破格晋升副教授，1997 年破格晋升教授，1999 年成为北京大学首批长江教授。获得荣誉包括国家科学技术进步奖一等奖(排名第四)、北京市科学技术进步奖一等奖、第六届中国青年科技奖、第一届中国科协求是杰出青年奖等。阳振坤近年来的主要研究领域为分布式系统及分布式数据库，2010 年他在阿里巴巴发起了 OceanBase 分布式关系数据库的研发，现在 OceanBase 已经在蚂蚁集团的核心系统中全面取代了 Oracle 数据库，并在 2019 年和 2020 年两次通过国际联机事务处理 TPC-C benchmark 测试并登顶性能榜首。

王建国

Biography:
Jianguo Wang is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Purdue University. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the University of California, San Diego. He has worked on Milvus and Aurora at Zilliz and Amazon AWS and has interned at Oracle, Microsoft Research, and Samsung. His current research interests include database systems for the cloud and large language models, including disaggregated databases and vector databases. His research results have been published in top-tier conferences such as SIGMOD, VLDB, and ICDE. He is a recipient of the NSF CAREER Award in the United States.
王建国是普渡大学计算机系助理教授，博士毕业于加州大学圣地亚哥分校。他曾在Zilliz和Amazon AWS从事Milvus和Aurora数据库系统的研发工作，并曾在Oracle、Microsoft Research和Samsung实习。其研究方向主要是针对云计算和大模型的数据库系统，特别是Disaggregated Databases和Vector Databases。其研究成果发表在SIGMOD、VLDB、ICDE等高水平学术会议上。他是美国NSF Career Award获得者。


王添正

Biography:
Tianzheng Wang is an assistant professor in the School of Computer Science at Simon Fraser University (SFU). His research focuses on creating database systems in the context of modern hardware, new programming language features, and new applications. His work also frequently extends to related areas such as operating systems, parallel programming, and distributed systems. Wang Tianzheng received his PhD and Master of Science degrees in computer science from the University of Toronto in 2017 and 2014 respectively. He received a bachelor’s degree in computer science (first class honors) from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2012. Prior to joining SFU, he worked at Huawei Canada Research Center (Toronto) for one year (2017-2018) as a research engineer. In addition to being adopted by major cloud computing vendors and startups, his work has been recognized with two ACM SIGMOD Research Highlight Awards (2020 and 2022), the 2019 IEEE TCSC Scalable Computing Excellence Award (Early Career Researcher), and Nomination for Best/Memorial Paper Award.Personal homepage: https://www.cs.sfu.ca/~tzwang

彭煜玮

Biography:
Yuwei Peng is an associate professor and leader of the database course group at the School of Computer Science at Wuhan University. He is currently a member of the Database Professional Committee of the China Computer Society, a standing committee member of the PostgreSQL China Users Association, a member of the Open Source Technology Committee of the China Communications Society, and the deputy leader of the Competition Working Group of the Database Course Virtual Teaching and Research Section of the Ministry of Education. As the technical person in charge, he led the development of the domestic object agent data management system TOTEM. Author of “OceanBase Database Source Code Analysis” and “PostgreSQL Database Kernel Analysis”. 杨传辉

Biography:
Chuanhui Yang is currently the CTO of Ant Group’s enterprise-level distributed relational database OceanBase. Yang Chuanhui was engaged in the research and development of large-scale cloud computing systems at Baidu. In 2010, he joined the OceanBase team as a founding member and led the previous architecture design and technology research and development of OceanBase, realizing the full implementation of OceanBase in Ant Group from scratch. At the same time, he also led two OceanBase TPC-C tests and broke the world record, and authored the monograph “Large-Scale Distributed Storage Systems: Principles and Practice”. Currently, Yang Chuanhui leads the OceanBase technical team to create a next-generation enterprise-level distributed database that is more open, flexible, efficient, and easy to use.
杨传辉现任蚂蚁集团企业级分布式关系数据库 OceanBase CTO。杨传辉曾在百度从事大规模云计算系统研发工作，2010 年作为创始成员之一加入 OceanBase 团队，主导了 OceanBase 历次架构设计和技术研发，从无到有实现 OceanBase 在蚂蚁集团全面落地。同时，他也主导了两次 OceanBase TPC-C 测试并打破世界纪录，著有专著《大规模分布式存储系统：原理与实践》。目前，杨传辉带领 OceanBase 技术团队致力于打造更加开放、灵活、高效、易用的下一代企业级分布式数据库。

王肇国

Biography:
Zhaoguo Wang is a tenured associate professor and doctoral supervisor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, deputy dean of the School of Software, and chief scientist of the National Key R&D Program. Served as an assistant professor at New York University (non-tenure track). Mainly engaged in basic software research such as database systems, and relevant results have been published at authoritative conferences in OSDI, SIGMOD, VLDB, NSDI, PPoPP, PODC and other related fields. He has won the 2023 ACM SIGMOD Research Highlight Award, SIGMOD 2022 Best Paper Award (Honorable Mention), APSys 2017 Best Paper Award, ACM ChinaSys Rising Star Award, Huawei Olympus Pioneer Award, and two Huawei Spark Awards. Main academic part-time jobs include the head of the Intelligent Data Management TSG of the OpenHarmony Technical Steering Committee, Secretary General of ACM ChinaSys, Executive Member of the CCF Database and System Software Committee, Youth Preparatory Editorial Board member of Frontiers of Computer Science, former designated editor of ACM SIGOPS, and academic at ChinaSys The main originator of the open source innovation platform. He has been invited to serve as co-chairman of the 20th ACM ChinaSys Conference, co-chairman of the 22nd ACM ChinaSys Program Committee, publicity chairperson of ACM APSys 2018, and international conferences such as EuroSys 2025, NSDI 2024, SoCC 2023, ICDCS 2020/2023, and IEEE Cluster 2021.
